We love helping others to connect with the community at large, especially our students looking to fulfill community volunteer hours! The Fort Atkinson Farmers Market is a friendly, fun, and energetic atmosphere to join and we greatly appreciates all of our volunteers! They are a big part of what make us so unique and worth visiting! We are committed to building a strong community both within and around the market. We are always looking for volunteers to help customers get items to their cars, help with kids crafts, help direct guests, and set up equipment.
Not only is volunteering a great way to invest in the community around you, but it looks great on resumes and college applications too!
If you are looking to fulfill volunteer hours for high school or college requirements, or other organizations, we are happy to help!
Our volunteer opportunities are primarily between the hours of 6:30 am and 12:15pm every Saturday from the Beginning of May through the end of October.
Volunteer Expectations
The FAFM operates in both in hot and cold, in the rain and in sunshine. If you volunteer for a specific date and time, you are expected to honor that commitment. Failure to do so (outside of emergency circumstances) may impact future opportunities to volunteer with us. As representatives of the market, we expect volunteers to conduct themselves in a way that reflects positively on the market as a whole. This means to be courteous, polite, helpful, and welcoming to guests and vendors alike. But most of all, we expect our volunteers to have fun!

Markets don't just "happen" unfortunately. There is a great deal of effort that goes into something this special. From creating and reviewing applications, booking and paying musicians, permits, insurance, licensing... The list of expenses can seem to never end! And we appreciate every single donation to keep us going, no matter how large or small!
The best and easiest way to support the market is to support our vendors through your patronage! Or by entering our 50/50 raffle drawn once per month during our summer season!
But if you are an absolute angle that's looking to make a cash donation you can currently do so in person at the welcome booth while visiting the market, or at the Chamber of Commerce!
